-Founded a 501c3 non-profit working in Ethiopia among the poorest, most-vulnerable families in the Kore slum. The organization provides holistic, trauma-informed services to over 300 families each day.-Oversee the organizational strategy, administration, budgets, strategy, public relations, vision casting, fundraising, and daily operations, empowering 65 local staff members to serve 1,000 beneficiaries each day. -Collaboratively negotiated ongoing project licensing with government agencies despite increasing bureaucratic challenges, burdensome reporting requirements and frequent policy changes.-Led development and fundraising efforts for the organization’s annual operating budget.-Responded to a community need to reduce the numbers of orphaned children by launching a free day care and feeding program for the poorest families, enabling over 300 single mothers to support their children.-Implemented early intervention Day Care, Pre-Primary and Primary Schools that have served 380 children over 9 years in an area where only 5% of children formerly attended pre-primary school. -Created jobs for 65 local Ethiopians in an area of the city with over 20% unemployment.-Facilitated community development and disaster relief within the community of 130,000 slum dwellers.-Provided consulting to 8 organizations in modeling their non-profits after Embracing Hope's holistic model, resulting in them being licensed with the Ethiopian government and providing ongoing impact in the community.-Oversaw the transition of all Ethiopian responsibilities to national staff and recently transitioned USA operations to a new Managing Director.

-Delivered interactive workshops and keynote talks for audiences ranging from 10 people up to 1,000 people by developing creative material to engage diverse groups.-Provided program and pastoral oversight for an international church with 1,800 weekly attendees from 59 nations with extreme economic diversity. -Successfully implemented a new vision and transitioned teams and programs within that new vision and strategy.-Transitioned staff into a culture of trust and shared leadership while growing direct staff.-Led the Board of Elders, Ministry Leaders and Staff in shared oversight of the congregation and ministries.-Duties included: weekly teaching, worship service planning, discipleship, systems design and implementation, leadership development, supervision of ministry leaders, strategy, vision casting, special programs development, counseling, church planting, ministry budgeting and daily operations.

-Founded this church with an emphasis on creating a welcome place for the hurting and outsiders. -Mobilized 50% of attendees to attend at least one community outreach among the poor and marginalized and engaged 25% in ongoing, regular engagement.-Recruited, trained and developed programs and leaders in line with their individual passions.-Led a community development initiative in Crystal Park, Lancaster City, by engaging members and the local community in an Adopt a Park program.-Trained and equipped leaders individually and through seminars to start churches in the Northeast.-Duties included: weekly teaching, worship service planning, discipleship, implementation of systems, administration, ongoing development of leaders, supervision of ministry leaders, strategy, vision casting, special programs development, counseling and daily operations.

-Provided case management for individuals arrested on Driving Under the Influence charges to assist them in complying with court directives while also providing public safety. -Assessed and supervised multi-faceted treatment related to: addictions, mental health, employment, financial, family and legal issues, while also holding offenders accountable to conditions of probation.-Provided accountability through regular appointments, drug testing, home visits and alcohol testing.-Kept detailed client records and prepared court action in cases of violations of probation.

-Provided case management for homeless, low income, and individuals with mental health issues to assist them in becoming independent. -Linked clients with other agencies and programs both internal and external to meet their needs. -Intervened in crisis situations both in-house and as part of a Mobile Case Management Team. -Referred clients for inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs and assisted parolees, in conjunction with their parole officer, in readjusting to the outside world. -Performed initial intakes and assessments of basic needs and assisted clients in acquiring those needs.

-Oversaw the holistic development of teenagers through spiritual programs and mentoring-Assisted in the design and implementation of a holistic soup kitchen program benefitting the poor, addicts, homeless, impoverished families and those with mental health diagnoses.-Provided pastoral oversight of the church from 1997 to 2000.-Assisted with worship service planning, preaching and teaching

-Assisted in the implementation of plans of care for high risk teenagers in foster home and group homes, many of whom were victims of abuse. -Provided daily programming and detailed documentation to assist a team of case workers with plans of care.

-Provided Bible teaching, activities and pastoral oversight for a wide spectrum of youth, specifically youth from impoverished families and at risk backgrounds.-Created, implemented and oversaw a youth-led leadership team as well as adult volunteers.-Counseled youth in one-on-one and group settings.
