I pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering because I was interested in designing new technology to solve problems such as global warming. During my degree, I grew an interest in both power and control systems. As an E.I.T., I am looking to gain knowledge and experience working in industry with professionals and understanding how to be a P. Eng. I am self-motivated and always try to learn things outside of my comfort area. For my Capstone project, I took on a nanoelectrical project and helped design a microcavity optical resonator. I also participated (and continue to) in the Renewable Energy Design Club where I helped design and build a solar powered phone charger station. Both of these projects allowed me to push myself in areas where I had no prior experience.
