So far, I've led a life I'm proud of. I've served up just about every kind of fast food out there, sat behind a desk for a few years as an Accounting Clerk, served in the US Army in multiple countries for a little over a decade, and went back to sitting behind a desk as an Accounting Clerk I, Accounting Clerk II, Payroll Clerk, Operations Analyst, Payroll Staff Accountant, Funding Analyst, and currently as a Payroll Manager. My proudest moment, personally, was the day we were able to adopt our foster son. We've had him since he was six weeks old, and the process took until he was a year and a half old before he could officially bear our last name!My employment background has given me an advantage I don't think a lot of people get in life. I've had the opportunity to work with the most diverse work force in the world, had exposure to multiple cultures, multiple leading styles, down and dirty manual labor, and the opportunity to develop my own ideas and implement them when it comes to problem solving. While in the military, I created standard operating procedures for some of the equipment we used, counseled soldiers by providing praise for areas of greatness, and suggestions for areas of improvement. I learned how to follow orders, and how to give orders. When I returned to civilian life, I went back to school and got my Bachelor's degree, and then immediately began pursuing my Master's degree, while doing foster care with my wife, and sometimes as many as four small children in our house I also got my first post-military civilian job as an Accounting Clerk, so both my days and nights were very busy! I am a person that will get the job done. I have the desire to keep going, keep improving, and I love to pay attention to detail! That's one thing both the Army and the accounting field have in common.
