About Jerry Thorn

Im currently working in Albuquerque NM, with the Albuquerque Teachers Federation (ATF). As a staff rep. Being a product of Albuquerque's public school system it's an honor to be able to represent and fight for those who have had a hand in educating me and helping to become the person I am today. Before I was an Organizer Apprentice employed by the AFL-CIO and doing work for AFSCME. Myself and the team I was working with and learning from were concentrated on an internal organizing campaign in Miami Florida. I worked at Kroger for almost seven years. Obtaining three promotions along the way, starting from bagger, clerk, to CSM, to Produce Manager. This is where I was a member of UFCW 1564 and was the beginnings of passion for labor. Graduating from the University of New Mexico with a BA in sociology, and minor in business. Also have a obtained a Certificate of completion from the Organizing Institute, Sponsored by the AFL-CIO.
