About Jerry Dewitt
I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Haricharan lab at the SDSU Research Foundation and the NCI-designated UCSD Moores cancer center. In the Haricharan lab, we work to better understand the clinical implications of DNA damage repair deficiencies in breast cancer with an aim to leverage these insights to improve patient outcomes and improve cancer health inequity.For my PhD, my thesis work aimed to better understand the mechanisms underlying control of cell growth and size. Specifically, how oncogenic forms of Ras affect cell growth and size control.
