The work content including:1) planning system building from only sales order release to manufacturing and purchasing to demand management(planning&forecast) to Master Production Schedule and MRP running.2) Purchasing system building. Created new team of supply development, together with factory procurement. Remove the blocks in system and complete the information of material and BOM, make sure PO release by system.3) Change ERP setup, and tremendously improved the inventory data accurate.4) Organization restructure, and team talent development.

Purchasing(sourcing and procurement), logistic and transportation.1) Redefined the role and responsibilities of purchasing team, extended the job from PO release and follow delivery to advanced sourcing development and co-collaboration development.2) Restructured team , from one procurement team to 3 teams including procurement, supply development team and supplier quality team.3) Made supplier strategies, and solved strategic key parts' supply risk.4) Achieve cost reduction 2.5%

Two roles in this position:1) Lead China and Korea team to develop suppliers for Caterpillar mining group including fabrication, machining component, and non-metallic parts. Team including buyer and SDE.2) Lead indirect material purchasing of 3 factories in Wuxi

Lead 3 persons team. Procurement spending more than 40 million dollars.1) Lead large wheel loader parts purchasing activities in China, analyze machine cost structure, and seek potential cost reduction and low cost suppliers. 2) Build complete and strong supplier base in China for large wheel loader, lead China suppliers engage in global competition, and support Large wheel loader product strategy worldwide. Procurement parts including heavy/light structure, steel/iron casting, forging, hydraulic cylinder, non-metal part, machining components, cooling product, Lead China suppliers engage global quote to support product strategy.3) Lead cross function team on collaboration work of design, manufacturing, APQP and logistic planning.4) Build strong large wheel loader purchasing team in China.

Lead buyer of cooling system in China, procurement spending exceed 60 million dollars1) Lead cooling system supplier strategy, planning suppliers development and engage in global supplier strategy. 2) Build relationship with suppliers3) Lead cost reduction strategy, support CAT end products competition.4) Cooling system's quote, and price negotiation, and supplier selection. 5) Assist purchasing manager to building team, coach and train new/young buyers.Achievement1) Lead cooling system suppliers strategy, build vary suppliers base to meet top tier/medium tier customers' requirements; Promote China suppliers into global supply list2) Lead cost mode update, realized 5-8% cost reduction for new business3) Lead cross function team on engine oil cooler cost reduction project, and achieved 9% cost reduction, exceed global purchasing director's expectation.4) Lead and completed biggest cooling business' global supplier selection, spending exceed $40M. The firmed price is 25% lower than target.

Lead engine components supplier quality team, involve spending more than 100million dollars, products including crankshaft, rod, piston, fuel system, damper, turbo, aftertreatment, insulation, cylinder gaskets etc. 1) Product development and quality control (APQP, PPAP), 2) Promote supplier's quality capabilities: building layered process audit system to prevent mass quality issues; implement standard supplier quality planning process3) Team development. Build positive team culture and image; plann for employees' career developmentAchievement1) Implement supplier layered process audit, stopped mass quality issues in short time2) Based on APQP and PPAP, created standard supplier quality planning process, and improve suppliers quality in long term view3) Created supplier quality issues track list, and also assess employees' response performance4) Engine components suppliers' quality performance reduced from 3000 to 378 within one year.

Responsible for Caterpillar aftertreatment suppliers' product development and quality management1. Successfully developed China suppliers into Caterpillar aftertreatment suppliers base, and growed to biggest supply base for Caterpillar2. Improved suppliers' quality capabilities, reduced the PPM from 2300 to 680 with half year, and the quality performance in the last 3 months under my responsibility is ZERO. China suppliers have the best quality performance in Caterpillar's aftertreatment business.3. Coach and train young engineers, identify potential employees

Job responsibilities:1) Supplier development. The responsibilities include the supplier capability development (capabilities of product development, manufacturing and validation), supplier assessment (quality, cost, development, and management). I ever as on-site engineer at supplier, so familiar with manufacturing process, such as brazing, welding, assembly, and some knowledge of casting.2) Validation planning. I responsible for all the cooling products validation planning, failure solving, and the validation lessons learned. I also worked with US team for the standard validation spec creation. The validation tests include the thermal fatigue, pressure fatigue, vibration, and burst test. Evaluate the design concept, and provide suggestions on fatigue improvement. The test passage rate promoted from 70% to 87%. 3) Cost management. I responsible for all the products, tests, and tooling cost analysis, negotiation with supplier, and cost management. I led and created the Cost Model for products, tooling, and tests. These cost, manufacturing, and validation experience also used for the cost reduction design.I have following advantages for this position:1) Have full of product development knowledge, which includes the product design, manufacturing development, and validation planning. Well understand specification, and cost.2) Have technical background, management skills, and purchasing knowledge. Familiar with TS16949, APQP (special FMEA), Project management (PMBOK), and RFQ process. I also got 6-sigma green belt certification in Caterpillar, and know lean production.3) Ever as on-site engineer at supplier, so know the requirements of both customer and supplier, and well communication experience between supplier and Caterpillar.4) Product design experience, familiar with proE and solidwork software.
