I have worked in the built environment sector for 33 years, having achieved Chartered status and I am a Fellow within the IET.I started life as a building services engineer at BT, served as an apprentice for five years becoming an engineering technician.I moved into the design side in 1988 when I joined the London Borough of Bromley, where I worked as an Electrical design engineer, working my way up to Electrical Project Engineer and Project Leader.Following a sell off to a private consultant, I moved to Robert West and Partners, where my public sector knowledge was expanded to private sector and I became Project lead on many prestigious contracts, including the education sector, industrial, commercial and retail.After a short spell of running my own business, I joined Charterhouse in 1997, and worked my way up to a full Director in 2004. I looked after the new London office, until it became a self sufficient operation and then looked at the operational side of the business, until the sell to WSP in 2008.I worked as head of property technical services at WSP for three years and then joined hurleypalmerflatt as head of technical services in 2011, where I have developed, many roles that look at the productivity, knowledge, training, quality, technical, health and safety, accreditations and risk reduction.I am a level headed, experienced manager of people and clients, and can deliver to targets and goals. Also currently looking for similar opportunities.I have been in the Building Services industry for 33 years now, having worked my way up from Engineering Technician with BT power services, to a Company Director at Charterhouse, Technical Director at WSP, then Technical Director at hurleypalmeflatt until today....I have engineered, project managed, been a client services director, head of a central technical services department, Health and Safety Manager, BIM Manager, Quality Manager oh and I am a Chartered Engineer through the IET.
