Seconded to the Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal (LNGT) Project Team as the Gas Receiving Station (GRS) commissioning lead- Led a team of 10 in coordinating the overall commissioning matters- Managed to prepare the overall commissioning proposal from scratch to execution within 12 months - Prepared detailed commissioning documents from pre-commissioning planning to post-commissioning report, including risk assessment, gas consumption estimation, power grid system security evaluation, commissioning procedures, emergency response plan, etc- Liaised with different stakeholders, including grid planners, power station, fuel supply contract teams, external fuel suppliers, etc, to achieve mutual agreement on tests in the balance of power system risk and depth of tests- Acted as the gatekeeper to ensure recommended actions in the risk assessment and commissioning HAZID/HAZOP workshop were adequately implemented- Reviewed the commissioning procedures for all sub-systems, including the test concept, expected results, equipment line-up, etc, and ensured the systems fulfilled technical, statutory and design standard - Established fault analysis in different pressure fluctuation scenarios to evaluate the impact to the systems by using dynamic simulations. - Acted as the commander during commissioning, monitored the status of gas receiving station, generation plants and system and took prompt remedial action when necessary - Fast reaction to establish comprehensive investigation plan during failure attempts on commissioning.

- Executed shut down and start up of CCGT or simple cycle gas turbine plant and facilities including switching, isolation and purging.- Acted as a Senior Authorized Person (SAP) to carry out gas purging, electrical and mechanical isolation and issuance of safety documents.- Monitored unit / station operation conditions and took corrective actions whenever permissible parameters deviated.- Analyzed plant performance data into useful information and developed actions with others to enhance reliability, capacity, efficiency and environmental performance.- Assisted in investigation for plant anomalies. Measured different parameters and calculated corresponding forces and pressures for further decision making - Assisted in liaising with related parties to facilitate unit generation, maintenance work, circuit switching and all other activities for the sake of optimizing plant performance.- Performed front line maintenance on CCGT and facilities in a safe and efficient manner.- Took lead in innovation initiatives and continuous improvement projects assigned by supervisor.- Appointed as Safety Supervisor, Fire Fighter and Breathing Apparatus Rescuer, etc. and perform corresponding duties.

Additional duties: Appointed as start-up team pioneer operators to join the hot commissioning phase of new CCGT unit (D1)- Worked with manufacturer operators for daily commissioning activities, and performed real-time reporting to commissioning team, duty shift team and other concerned parties concerned on the progress of tests.- Coordinated between the system grid, power plant control room and manufacturer commissioning engineer to allocate station resources and test window to fulfill requests from - On-site verification on the drawings and marked discrepancies for revision- Logged and recorded the actual work steps from manufacturer operators for developing new operating instructions - Monitored the testing unit conditions and provided suggested responses to Senior Shift Manager in making appropriate decision.- Pro-actively shared new knowledge among shift members and assisted Shift Engineer I in drafting additional emergency drills for the new plants. - Self-initiated the development of the unit start up log. - Acted as incident commander to take immediate actions to commissioning incidents.- Developed temporary procedures during the commissioning phase.- Executed shut down and start up of new CCGT during the commissioning phase

Apr 2018 – Aug 2018 (0.25 Years) - Operation Team- Assisted in operation, start up / shut down of the generating units.- Assisted in providing technical, engineering and operation support to the shift operation team.- Assisted in liaising with related parties to facilitate unit generation, maintenance work, circuit switching and all other for the sake of optimizing plant performance.- Performed any other duties, such as Fire Fighter, First Aider and Breathing Apparatus User, etc. Aug 2017 – Apr 2018 (0.75 Years) - Maintenance Team- Self-initiated feasibility study on innovative method on anti-fouling in power station, to find out the best choice of solution in solving pipework blockage problem due to marine micro-organisms.- Carried out engineering study and performance design, and prepared technical specification of plant equipment.- Provided support in planning, scheduling, logistics, facilities management and progress monitoring of outage and engineering activities. - Assisted in monitoring and improving plant equipment performance. Identified and analyzed performance improvement areas for the generating units. - Assisted in assessing service condition and performance of plant equipment. Review and update plant status review report. - Performed reviewing engineering documentation, compiling maintenance procedures, and drafting technical and commercial contract specification. - Coordinated with third parties to ensure relevant safety procedures are executed at works.
