Developed a WordPress-powered web platform for the Love GardenRoute business listing service. Responsibilities included site installation, setup, and management, as well as providing branding services and digital marketing support.

I led the development and implementation of communication activities for the World Bank Regional Disease Surveillance Systems Enhancement (REDISSE) Project in Nigeria, aimed at creating and strengthening public awareness and support for the project, through active communication of activities, states’ performance and disbursements on the project.

I led Communication and Knowledge Management of Nigeria's response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic at the NCDC, documenting the pandemic response in Nigeria through three lenses - Systems, Processes and People - leveraging documentary, narrative photography and storytelling.I also supported the uptake (deployment, training and management) of technologies for digital information dissemination, and tackling misinformation, disinformation and fake news. I led the development of digital information, education and communication (IEC) materials for the response at the NCDC.Key Tasks Include:- I liaised with State governments to support visual (videos, photographs) documentation of the COVID-19 pandemic response in the their respective States.- I led the media documentation of NCDC response activities nationally.- Knowledge Management Support: I managed storage and retrieval of key media outputs from the response activities across the country.- I coordinated production of documentaries across States to tell stories of State leadership in the COVID-19 pandemic response.- I also provided technical support for deployment, training and management of communication technologies for engaging Nigerians.- I actively supported crisis communication for the NCDC COVID-19 pandemic response.

I provided technical support to the NMEP to improve their use of social media for disseminating malaria information and increasing intervention uptake. I conducted a situation analysis, audited social media accounts, and built the capacity of the staff to generate and share information on social media platforms. I developed an SOP to guide NMEP on sustained use of social media platforms and provided additional support as required. Overall, my support helped improve the NMEP's social media presence and influence on policies and decision-making.

As the Technical Assistant on Communication, I assisted the Director General on the policy, strategy and operational framework for the NCDC with specific focus on the use of digital media as a primary touch point, brand identity and visibility, media and partner relations, and internal communications, to increase awareness among Nigerians about the NCDC, awareness on current and emerging public health threats in Nigeria, and to combat misinformation around diseases of public health importance in Nigeria.As the communication lead at the NCDC, I developed and implemented a digital media strategy that transformed NCDC’s virtual engagement with Nigerians, growing the NCDC’s Twitter followership from less than 1000 to over 1 million, between late 2017 and early 2020; I also achieved an over 300% increase in page likes on the organisation’s Facebook page, same period. Based on insights provided by our social media data, we learnt that some of our key publics are avid users of Facebook; I, therefore, led Facebook awareness campaigns for Lassa fever and Yellow fever respectively in the 2018-19 outbreak season for the diseases in Nigeria, supported by Facebook; data insights from these campaigns provided a baseline for a robust, evidenced-based public and media engagement for Nigeria’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic which started late 2019.During my stint as the communication lead, I also developed and implemented a two-year communication plan for the NCDC, to guide the organisation’s internal engagement with staff and partners, as well as external engagement with the media and other key publics. I led digital and onsite branding, content development and online publicity for notable events, including the first ever Lassa fever International Conference in Nigeria (2019, tinyurl.com/5ybzp9ea). I started a bimonthly internal newsletter for the NCDC to ensure staff members understand the NCDC vision and strategy, and are empowered to achieve it.

I supported volunteer mobilisation for the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Young Leaders programme Dollar Bail Brigade Project, which is part strategy in the coalition to shut New York’s Rikers Island Prison. The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Young Leaders program mobilises young leaders' action towards Criminal Justice Reform in New York and other cities across America. During my stint at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, I set up and managed equipment for media content curation for the Young Leaders Programme, social media management and event management support.

I rebranded and revamped Medicaid Cancer Foundation's (MCF) online presence on the web and social media, using cost-effective strategies for health campaigns and marketing. I built a bespoke website for the organization (www.medicaidcancerfoundation.org) and trained the media management team. As the Special Assistant on communication and digital media to Her Excellency, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, wife of Kebbi State Governor, Nigeria, I was a media liaison, media content curator and social media manager.

- I supported the communication unit in building a system for simplifying communication across departments in the organisation, to further strengthen her as a Primary Recipient of the Global Fund HIV, AIDS and TB Round 9 project.- I created a bespoke website (www.arfh-ng.org), managed it (maintenance and publications), and trained a team for continuity upon my exit.- I managed ARFH’s online presence across social media (content curation, scheduling and posting).- I worked with the Communication Advisor to develop human-interest stories (print and video publications) for various projects across departments, created and worked with vendors in producing and implementing media campaigns (jingles, documentary, etc).- I produced the ARFH 2013 Annual Report (content sourcing, design and print production), as well as a number of publications, PR and Information Education Communication (IEC) materials.

My stint saw to the following achievements:- I assembled, trained and managed the first digital media team for the organisation.- I successfully created and implemented multiple, cost-saving social media campaigns for all events, convincing the organisation to reduce her overall print budget and begin investing in social media for the long run.- I supervised the Print Publications Team, overseeing all screen and print designs and production.- I was the liaison for external organisations and vendors on communications and IT.- I provided general IT support for the organisation.- I built the first website for the organisation.

In our largest drive, as the State Secretary I mobilised up to 200 Corps Members and medical professionals within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with welfare items, health consumables and personnel to underserved rural communities in the FCT. Corps Members are Nigerian graduates on a one-year mandatory national service known as the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
