Worked for KTOK from 1979 to 2012 and joined as a general assignment reporter then quickly became Assistat News Director. I was made News Director in 1987, in charge of a 10-person news department. From 1989-1994, I gave up News Director to become a full-time investigative reporter, during which time I won RTNDA's Edward R. Murrow award for Investigative Reporting, IRE's National Radio Investigative reporting award, and a radio investigative award from Journalism's honorary Sigma Delta Chi. I also received numerous state investigative awards from the Associated Press and the Oklahoma Assocation of Broadcasters. During my time in being News Director from 1994 to 2012, I directed coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing and later the 1999 tornado that left 43 dead in Oklahoma City. I was inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame. I have also covered national political conventions, presidents, the war in Bosnia, and was an affiliate reporter for Fox News Radio, ABC, CBS and NBC.
