Client: Onsite at Mary Kay Cosmetics, Addison, TXAs a member of various groups within Mary Kay's International IT division, I worked on a variety of projects to maintain and enhance legacy interactive systems for the Mary Kay subsidiaries in Australia, Argentina, Brazil, China, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and Uruguay.Maintained and enhanced a suite of VB6 applications for both the Europe and Asia-Pacific subsidiaries including Accounting, Consultant Inquiry, Customer Service, Invoicing, and Order Processing, which acted as a front-end to an Oracle databaseModified the VB6 Invoicing program for one of the Europe subsidiaries to handle new government requirements and redesigned the invoice format per the customer’s requestModified the VB6 Invoicing program for the Asia/Pacific subsidiary to generate one PDF report file for the entire batch instead of one file for each invoiceAssisted in the design and implementation of conversion programs to move data from Microfocus Cobol proprietary data files to tables in an Oracle database for the China subsidiary. Assisted in the modification of programs that were part of the legacy consultant support system to process online orders and new consultant agreements for the Uruguay subsidiary. Functioned as first-line support for online ordering and customer service online application issues for Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. Designed and implemented process improvements in the consultant support system for China subsidiary to more efficiently access the Oracle database.
