Constructing a development approach that allows the client to own and have full visibility into the development process and status without being burdened with a heavyweight, paper dependent process.Kanban (using LeanKit) is being used as the lightweight, visible flow for the work and ATDD and TDD help to underpin a growing Continuous Delivery pipeline.The pattern allows for easier development and quicker deployment of new products to market for customers.

Tech lead on an highly skilled agile team developing an Content Management Interface to provide content authors and editors the ability to create, manage and publish new articles, aggregations, etc. utilizing custom workflows. Also developed portlets and business tier services and consumers for an educational tool targeted for libraries and K-12/Colleges/Universities. Helping to coach/mentor/utilize agile methodologies and tools such as pair programming, poker planning, retrospectives, TDD, and managing the story board to speed development and provide high-quality, business value to the customers.

Used Agile development methodologies to develop/test/deploy Web Services. Used Java and multiple design patterns to create plugin services providing access to discrete, backend legacy systems such as Oracle, Mainframes, and MapQuest. Then constructed Service level applications that accessed these discrete services for processes such as provider information lookups, patient precertification lookups, etc.

Technical Lead responsible for architecting, designing, coding and managing a team of developers in construction of the mid-tier, domain level of a defect tracking system for a large automotive company.The application consolidated 5 global regions of an existing Lotus Notes application and allowed for highly flexible, configurable workflows and processes to allow for the diverse business units to configure the system for their particular needs.

Re-architected an existing web application from a highly proprietary, IE only design to an open source system utilizing Struts-based client facing app with a multi-tiered back-end system. The processing end of the system utilized a service-based architecture with EJB as the transport.

Several positions such as:Senior developer on a team that created a customer facing, CFC, Mercedes-Benz, and Truck branded user interface for the consumer online payment system. The site currently handles over 7000 transactions daily and processes over $1.2 billion yearly in online payments. We also extended the framework to provide a scheduling engine supporting batch processing and timed task execution. Solely responsible for the analysis, design and construction of an application designed to prove superior performance and usability for dealer-side credit applications and contact management. Team lead and mentor for the team that redesigned and successfully launched mbcredit.com, a refaced website for Mercedes-Benz. Converted the original system from ASP to J2EE and added an online credit application process. And others....

Performed a cost/benefit analysis for the client for third party vs. self-hosting solutions. Team lead for five developers constructing a WAS Commerce Suite app allowing representatives to place orders for B2C and B2B POs. This provided quicker response and real time inventory information at the point of sale.Performed gap analysis on a Vignette site for Fox News. Provided time and cost estimates for the gaps and enhancements. Created initial estimate of man-hours to complete project and acted as technical reference for team assigned to complete projectTeam lead for a five-person team to design, implementation and enhancement of web site for Michigan National Bank. The team constructed the web site and backend content management application using Vignette StoryServer.
