Jerry Berger is currently a litigation associate in the Dallas, TX office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP where he assists clients in a range of complex commercial litigation disputes and investigations and where he maintains a strong pro-bono practice.Jerry graduated from UCLA School of Law, where, in conjunction with excellent academic performance, he was involved in various activities and organizations, including serving as a Writing Advisor in the Legal Research and Writing Program, as an Articles Editor with the Dukeminier Awards Journal, as a Co-Chair for UCLA's OUTLaw chapter, as a UCLA Law Admissions Ambassador and Tour Guide, as a mentor with the UCLA Law Fellows outreach program, as a legal volunteer with the El Centro Legal Clinics, and as a member of an external Moot Court team representing UCLA Law.Prior to law school, Jerry worked in entertainment management representing international LGBTQ+ artists and creators, and was in a managerial role at a skincare company. Jerry has a passion for advocacy, is a natural and experienced leader, is results-driven, has impeccable attention to detail, has effective and quality communication skills, and is a creative problem-solver.Jerry spent his 1L summer as a Law Clerk in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California. During his 2L summer, Jerry was a litigation summer associate in the Dallas, TX Office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld, LLP. Jerry was also a full-time judicial extern for the Hon. John Kronstadt of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.Jerry has a strong interest in litigation and enjoys legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
