Director/Hr Business Partner-Consultant
As the Director of Human Resources, I led both corporate and site based Human Resource Management for a corporation encompassing 6 comprehensive acute care facilities with over 6,500 employees and 2,500 physicians. My broad-based Human Resource experience solidified my position as a go-to Director, Business Partner, and Consultant, called on by the executive to transform operational functioning and lead strategic projects. These strategic projects included the simultaneous implementation of significant payroll and applicant tracking software across the corporation, dramatically improving functionality.Although technology plays an important role in Human Resource functioning, Human Resources is driven by people and ensuring people have a firm understanding of the policies and a platform from which to function. My organizational leadership in the development of policy and platform, teamed with my understanding of corporate compliance and risk management, made me an obvious choice for employee training and development. I was called upon by the executive to train the executive with over 300 executives and 100 managers being trained in complex areas of sexual harassment and employee discipline. I was immersed in additional areas of organizational leadership, often leaving corporate to direct site-based Human Resource Management including: Leading Human Resource change management as Director, of the dynamic work environment of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center with 273 beds and 1100 employees guided by CNA and CHEU unions, creating stability and improving employee satisfaction, demonstrated by a dramatic decrease in employee stress leaves. Serving as Director of the high-functioning Greater El Monte Community Hospital, with 400 employees guided by SEIU 121 and UHW unions, creating policy and procedure in just 6 months, to enhance compliance and meet organizational needs.
Director Of Human Resources / Senior Hr Business Partner
When I was recruited for the position of Senior Human Resource Business Partner, I was sought out to clean-up and turnaround the corporation, which was experiencing a CMS crisis and on a terminations track. The first order of business was to perform an extensive internal audit to identify issues, create solutions, and implement effective process improvement. It was important to establish and solidify our corporate human resource direction, thus I pioneered a cohesive and clear analytical framework for corporate change management. I quickly made hard but necessary changes, structuring and implementing procedures to improve regulatory compliance and enhance corporate operations. This teamed with a multitude of additional actions resulted in complete turnaround demonstrated by:* Increasing the compliance rate from 10% to 90% with the development of policies and procedures to correct deficiencies in accordance with governmental regulations.* Positioning the company for the acquisition of 7 new hospitals, with the establishment of a viable and prosperous corporate structure. * Gaining increased levels of responsibility that included serving as a consultant to perform turnaround in additional corporate locations.Looking at the improvement, I know I am capable of conquering a multitude of industries, dramatically improving corporate performance.
