Qa Test Architect / Analytics Infrastructure LeadActifio Oct 2011 - Jan 2016Waltham, Ma, UsIn my initial role, as a senior member of the QA team, I held primary responsibility for testing all aspects of Actifio’s data deduplication engine, and shared responsibility for driving process reforms to scale and improve the effectiveness of the QA operation. This work included the design and execution of stress testing and performance benchmarking strategies for the deduplication engine, with emphasis on re-creating conditions that are observed in the field. I drove instrumentation of application components for functional and performance analysis, and worked closely with the deduplication dev team to translate programming concepts and algorithms into testable assumptions.From 2012-2015 I was designer and development lead of a data collection system for monitoring units in the field. The initial requirement was to improve speed and reliability of support response during outages. It has since become a crucial data source for the full spectrum of incident investigation. It also supports deep-dive analysis of deduplication performance in real-world conditions, enabling a data-driven ordering of development priorities. -
