Manage the Quality Assurance of all software being developed for/by ABR. Ensuring the highest quality and most robust products are delivered to the customers so that they have the greatest experience. Involved in all aspects of the products software development life cycle.

Assist in developing and maintaining the code base. Assist in troubleshooting issues reported and working out resolutions. Releasing new versions as required.

Design, implement and perform tests for all CyVerse projects. Involved in all phases of agile development, working closely with Requirements Analysts and Developers to ensure product reliability and performance. Teaching and managing other QA members of the team.

Testing Archive software manually and automated. Providing systems administration for all QA, OPs and production servers. Working with Linux servers (mostly CentOS) and Apple mass storage system. Working closely with developers and end users to improve product and end user experience.

Managing all aspects of Unix/Linux systems that host customer Web Applications. Managing & designing network connections (VPN/Firewalls/Routers etc) for applicaton servers to connect to customer databases that are hosted elsewhere. Working with Development and Support personnel to troubleshoot and repair any problems.

Testing of Web-based applications for Public Health industry using Oracle and MS SQL backends. Supporting different environments, operating systems and application servers.

Tested Captaris’ flagship products RightFax and CallXpress. Testing was done on various Windows platforms from Windows 98 to Advanced Server 2000 as well as Novell. RightFax integration with various e-mail systems was tested, to include MS Exchange 5.5 & 2000, Novell GroupWise, Lotus Notes, Lotus ccMail, MS Mail, and SMTP/POP3. I developed testcases for the product testing using Tracks 7. I began devising and developing automated tests using Rational Visual Test for testing RightFax. Working closely with developers and tech writers to improve overall product usability and experience for the end users.

Tested Newmonics’ embedded java virtual machine PERC. Testing was done on WindRiver’s VxWorks (Sim, x86, PPC), ENA’s OSE (Softkernel and ppc), Windows NT4, 2000 and XP, Linux (x86, PPC and XScale). Host/development machines were Windows NT4, 2000, XP, Linux x86, PPC, Solaris 7, 8 and 9. Developed and maintained automated testing using Rational Robot, locally developed java tests (over 2000), Perl scripts, Unix bash scripts and Windows batchfiles. I was involved in all aspects of product from design to delivery. Testing of product from conception to final delivery product for clients. Worked closely with development and technical writers to improve the overall product. Tools used include VC++, BugSeeker, OptimizeIt, Eclipse, GCC, Make, Ghost, Rational Robot, CVS, WinaXe and other miscellaneous utilities.

Tested Sunquest’s pharmacy product FlexiMed and laboratory product Bloodbank. Testing was done on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 Server/Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional/Server, IBM RISC 6000 (AIX), Digital Unix and VMS (Alpha and Open). Developed and maintained automated testing using Rational TeamTest and LoadTest, SmarTerm macros along with UNIX shell and Perl scripts. Involved in all aspects of product from design to delivery. Worked closely with development and technical writers to improve the overall product to include designing and creating the final CD for delivery to clients.

Tested Artisoft’s award winning products (LANtastic 8.0, LANtastic for NT, i.Share 3.0, ModemShare32). Testing was done on Windows NT 4.0 Server/Workstation, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 3.1/3.11, MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows NT 3.51. Languages tested were English, German, French, Italian and Spanish for Windows 95 and above. Many commercial/freeware applications were used during testing for compatibility and functionality along with automated testing via QA Partner and in-house specially devised test applications. Recommended improvements on software projects during all phases of the development. Working directly with the developers, assisted in design of test plans for software development and quality.
