While most people are somewhat familiar with Reiki, Bhakti is less well known. The name Bhakti is from Sanskrit and is translated as "reintegration through love" or "devotion to one's healing process". Therefore, the Bhakti bodywork that I provide is a combination of many techniques, but focuses on a slow, gentle (but strong) massage style that calms the nervous system. This allows my clients to enter a meditative healing state and results in a balanced flow of energy through the body.In this state of deep relaxation, I am able to apply deep pressure without the pain that is often associated with traditional forms of massage. Naturally, I take direction from my clients in terms of the degree of pressure they can tolerate.The Bhakti stroke is continuous. I flow from head to toe working both sides of the body at once, This helps to connect and balance the nervous system. I incorporate aromatherapy at all stages of the massage.
