The Saracen Program included 5 subprojects aiming for restructering the FCE finance operation in the Nordic region in a joint venture with Credit Agricole. The program was seen as an important strategic program for Ford Motor Credit Company, and was sponsored on the highest executive level with Ford Credit in Eurpoe. The new nordic JV company was launched.

Volvo Car Finance Norway and Ford Credit Norway co-located in May 2003, following a major restructering process. The two former organsations were integrated into one, and the IT systems were harmonised during 2004.
