PhD Candidate in Geography and Urban Studies at Temple University, specializing in agricultural transformation processes through a Land Systems Science lens. My research integrates Earth Observation, GIS, and Machine Learning with robust socio-environmental methodologies to study dynamic land changes in frontier regions. I aim to enhance decision-making processes for sustainable development and biodiversity conservation through innovative land cover monitoring solutions.With a strong foundation in data analysis, digital mapping, and server administration, I have developed proficiency in handling large-scale spatial data projects. This includes working on NASA's Earth Observations projects and managing web-based applications for biodiversity management.My journey in academia has been complemented by significant industry experience, including roles at Instituto Alexander von Humboldt and the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, where I developed socio-ecological research projects and contributed to territorial biodiversity management.As an educator, I have designed and taught undergraduate courses in Development and Globalization, leveraging my expertise to engage and inspire the next generation of geographers and urban planners.Software development forms a key part of my skillset, with projects like the Land Cover Change Model for the Colombian Orinoquia and methods to harmonize and integrate multiple land cover products.
