Jes Layton (he/him, she/her) is a writer, illustrator and arts worker living and working on Wurundjeri Land, having grown up in regional Victoria on Gulidjan Land. Jes is the current Executive Director/co-CEO of the Emerging Writers’ Festival and has previously worked with organisations such as the Wheeler Centre, the Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature Office, the National Young Writers Festival and Express Media among others. Jes is also on the board of the ClimbingQTs, an outdoor queer community and advocacy group.His work can be found with SBS, Archer Magazine, Junkee, Voiceworks, Kill Your Darlings, The Big Issue, Affirm Press, Fremantle Press, Black Inc, and Pantera Press.
