I provide strategic direction to all the Leadership and Governance Consultants that directly support our 111 council CEOs and 111 Board Chairs across the country, as well as oversee our Interim CEO Program. Council Leadership Consulting supports council leadership in developing business recovery, growth, and transition strategies, with the lens of building sustainable growth in quality girl experiences and membership. We support the CEO in developing strategies to strengthen council leadership, coordinate and deliver targeted supports on local and network initiatives based, and facilitate sharing and learning by connecting councils with each other, GSUSA, and key resources.

Girl Scouts prepares girls to empower themselves and promotes compassion, courage, confidence, character, leadership, entrepreneurship, and active citizenship through activities involving camping, community service, learning first aid, and earning badges by acquiring practical skills. I serve as a leadership and organizational development consultant to CEOs of Girl Scout councils around the country. The GS-USA Council Consulting team endeavors to promote council health, growth, and strength so that councils can effectively serve the G.I.R.L.s (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ of their communities.

As the COO for mission delivery, I provide operational leadership and direction to the council's volunteers and staff in key areas of membership, program, adult development, and marketing/PR/Communications. I lead a staff on the implementation of enhanced membership recruitment and retention opportunities and strengthening relationships in all communities served in our 22-county jurisdiction. I am responsible for brand-positioning services that grow and sustain membership through the volunteer delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and use of the National Program Portfolio. I also lead the council on the integration and implementation of key council and national initiatives including equipping volunteers for easy success, creating innovative and relevant program and partnerships, elevating an enhanced customer service and engagement model, and incorporating the strategic plan into tactical execution.

I provide strategic leadership to all aspects of financial development, marketing and public relations, organizational development, and human resources to advance the YMCA’s mission. I drive the development of an actively engaged fundraising volunteer board of directors, and focus on positioning the YMCA as a “charity of choice” for the investment of donations within the greater community through annual giving, government and foundation grants, endowment bequests, and gifts and capital campaigns. I also provide strategic oversight digital and print marketing strategies, as well as robust public relations campaigns within the greater community. I work in concert with the HR Director in setting policy and procedures for HR, implementing organizational development strategies, and developing HR systems that enhance the employee experience. I am also responsible for providing strategic direction around employment relationships, organizational development, and Human Resources policy, as well as, actively working with the HR Department to develop, implement and monitor all HR policies and programs to include recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, employee services, learning and succession planning. I provide direction to training and education of the YMCA of Western North Carolina workforce, while developing and implementing effective employee communication strategies.
