Profile bio

About Jesenia Pagan

I have worked in the Human Resources field for about 10 years in various HR functional areas. I have gained valuable experience in full cycle recruitment, HR administration, Payroll & Benefits administration and management, wellness programs, employee relations, training/development, succession planning, HR compliance, change management, HR technology, and continuous improvement. I would describe my style as relatable and approachable, process and systems orientated, and innovative. My previous experience includes regional responsibility as a HR Generalist with Price Rite Supermarkets, where I was responsible for 8 stores with more than 1,000 employees across three states. My role with Price Rite provided me the opportunity to work across functional units such as Loss Prevention/Risk Management. Most of my work was involved in employee engagement, safety, loss mitigation, customer service training, and management coaching. I had the unique opportunity to work behind the scenes on two store openings providing operational support to ensure a successful opening. I started my career with Price Rite as a part time cashier and worked my way up through the ranks as I worked on completing my undergraduate degree.I have also worked as a HR Generalist for Journey Found, Inc. a non-profit organization that provides residential and in home supports for adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities. Here I gained experience in labor relations and contract negotiations. I had full responsibility for recruitment, onboarding, and HRIS management. I assisted in report writing and HR analytics and gained experience in leave administration. My favorite part of my role however was conducting training on Person Centered Practices with our new and current employees. This training focused on looking beyond a person’s disability when planning and providing care.In my role with Sodexo as a HR Manager at Stamford Hospital I gained valuable experience running my own HR department. My role entailed managing the day-to-day HR activities, employee labor and employee relations, recruitment, training, leave administration and FMLA/WC/ADA/EEO compliance. Here I had the unique opportunity to build my own training programs on topics such as Customer Service, and Harassment Prevention training.ln my current role, I focus primarily on improving & streamlining HR/Business processes that add value to our HR function, business, and people. I own the benefit administration process, recruiting and new hire on-boarding process, and lead HR technology/systems implementations.
