Designed and built a real-time bidder that does programmatic ad buying on advertising exchanges such as Google Ad Exchange. This is built as a distributed system that is scalable, robust, high frequency, low latency, and is able to process one million requests per second. Worked on the development of Kaplan Business System, used for class scheduling and for managing the company’s students and staff members.Performed the technical design for parts of the system using UML class diagrams, state diagrams and activity diagrams as well as design documents.Implemented the integration between Kaplan Business System and a legacy system to ensure that the two databases were synchronized.

Developed an input system for a database storing music data. The system was used by editors to enter and maintain data in the database. Supervised a team of four developers, delegated work and trained new employees. Provided technical guidance and helped design the system.

Designed and implemented an invoice management system which allowed users to enter invoice data and to print out invoices. Imported and exported data using EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).Created company website using which allowed clients to register, log in and download software. A custom made template engine was used to generate dynamic pages on the website.

Wrote customized programs for converting and manipulating text data using C and Unix tools such as Lex, Awk and Sed. Some programs were written for a specific project, others were more generic and were used for several different projects.
