ENERGY & WATER – Greater Copenhagen Living Lab is working to support the creation of sustainable cities. ENERGY & WATER consists of a Knowledge Center, a Science Center, a HOFOR Showroom and a Climate Adaptation Collaboratorium. Working in the Greater Copenhagen area, ENERGY & WATER covers more than a million inhabitants from numerous municipalities. The lead partners are the City of Copenhagen and Greater Copenhagen Utility.By working with and drawing on knowledge from a broad array of actors, ENERGY & WATER aims to promote climate- and environmentally friendly utility solutions and user behavior in the Greater Copenhagen area. This is done through multi-helix partnerships, educative activities, knowledge sharing and innovation initiatives.ENERGY & WATER functions as a Living Lab facilitating the implementation of sustainable and resilient climate adaptation initiatives in the dense city. The Environmental School Service, City of Copenhagen is a cross administration unit between the Technical and Environmental Administration & the Children and Youth Administration. The Environmental School Service mission is to support a green city transformation in Copenhagen through educating a new generation of environmentally conscious citizens. The Environmental School Service initiates, develops, supports and runs a modern innovative environmental programme. The Environmental School Service serves as unifying umbrella for a number of different initiatives in connection to environmental education in Copenhagen. The Energy & Water Science Center of Copenhagen is an innovative and experimental environmental school, which offers teaching courses for all grades within the themes of energy and water supply in the past, present and future, always seen in a sustainability perspective. The Science Center is developed in collaboration between the Environmental School Service, City of Copenhagen and HOFOR A/S.At the Energy & Water Science Center abstract knowledge is translated into interactive models and 3D. The education involves motion, use of different senses, it is hands-on orientated. Focus is on using correct vocational terms concerning environmental subjects and science. The Science Center started i 1999 with 900 visitors. In 2015 the Science Center had more than 17.500 visitors.

Mobile Science Center (MSC) is the mobile educational unit developed in collaboration between the Environmental School Service, City of Copenhagen and ARC A/S. MSC is an innovative educational concept, which facilitates teaching at schools and participates in a large amount of events annually.Mobile Science CenterMobile Science Center is visited by a broad and diverse audience. The Science Center offers teaching courses within the themes of water supply solutions, climate change and climate change adaptation, in a different, fun and hands-on oriented way. The Mobile Science Center consists of two large containers, that folds out into exciting, interactive learning spaces.
