Jesper exuded a positive / can-do attitude, also never short of humor in the face of adversity! He is an ease to work with, flexible to try new approaches, and brings his own ideas. Jesper demonstrated great initiative with the build-up of the MTN Roaming Hub and in his approach to how he led his Roaming Wholesale team. It was refreshing to work with another process expert like Jesper, as he was very hands-on and not afraid to “get his hands dirty” in helping me to re-design operational processes. Jesper offers a duality of a goal-oriented focus: on macro project goals, as well as being able to dive into the minutia of micro-operational change. Post the Transition Phase, he aided us as a cross-functional team player in the Transformation Phase to make the Roaming Hub a commercially viable operation. Humor aside, Jesper can be considered “carpet safe” in presenting to and negotiating with executive stakeholders. For example, he planned and led independent Wholesale Pricing Committee negotiations with all internal and external stakeholders masterfully, both at the MTN Group and MTN OpCo executive level to obtain critical buy-in from stakeholders. Not as easy as it sounds! Contracting or hiring Jesper Schlichtkrull as an International Roaming SME is a no-brainer decision.
