Department of Laboratory Automation Development (LAD) performs qualification of analytical instruments and facilities ensuring cGMP compliance according to USP and Eudralex applying a risk-based approach (GAMP5). LAD provides qualification and instrument compliance support to development and quality control laboratories in ALK. Working in cross functional projects with many stakeholders.

On site service on HPLC, UPLC and triple quadrupole mass Spectrometry. This includes repair, performance maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, qualification and application support. Have supported, pharmaceutical, food, and petro-chemical industries as well as university research laboratories and clinical laboratories. Have participated in a large number of courses e.g. customer interaction courses, instrument specific courses and formally trained as Compliance Specialist.

Department of Discovery DMPK.Assay development and analytical work in the ADME and DMPK area. Primarily automated metabolism and drug-drug interaction in vitro assays utilising both human liver microsomes and recombinant subcellular fractions. Liquid handling robots were applied for experiments and LC-MS used for analysis. Metabolite identification using both triple quadrupole as well as high resolution instruments. Have developed spreadsheet to calculate IC50 values for the main drug metabolising Cytochrome P450 families.

Diploma of Engineering - Biotechnology and Chemistry

Drug discovery and early development.Have worked both in the ADME and DMPK area. Have worked on developing drug metabolism assays using human Liver microsomes using liquid handling robots as well as LC-MS. LC-MS bioanalysis in early development investigating blood plasma levels of peptides and small molecules. Have also worked with ELISA assays.
