Jess Jones is a Senior Business Consultant at YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador. Colleagues describe them as "I have worked with Jess for the last 8 months and every moment of it has been a pleasure. When I first applied to work at Skills Canada NL, Jess happened to be the person that called me to set up my interview with the manager. I remember being very nervous as it was the first interview that I had scheduled that could lead to my potential career path. At the end of the phone call after setting up my interview time, Jess said “good luck with your interview tomorrow!”, even though she had never met me before and our only interaction was that phone call. The immediate sense of warmth that I felt through that phone call was overwhelming (in a good way). I was very lucky to have scored the job after the interview process, but am even more lucky to have a coworker as compassionate and hard working as Jess. Jess is a warm, caring and empathetic individual. Through her work as the Diversity Coordinator at Skills Canada NL, Jess works endlessly to make sure that our programming is reaching everyone in the community; and that it is accessible and inclusive for everyone.
