Undertook a Teach First Summer Project in association with The Story Project, creating a Social, Emotional and Mental Health scheme of work to supplement their main PSHE scheme and support school staff in promoting children's emotional literacy.Since then, I've worked to create and update existing resources onto their new format, designing lesson plans and highlighting areas for development.

My placement at Purple Elephant involved delivering Play Therapy sessions to children both in the charity's Hub and in a local school. The role required careful monitoring of KPIs and collaboration with staff, pupils and parents alike to ensure the best outcome for everyone. I also gained a better understanding of the processes involved in working for a charity and am motivated to use this knowledge in my future work.

Relocated to Lille, France to assist in the English departments of two collèges. This involved high levels of determination on my part, not least with finding accommodation and navigating a new city, and my interpersonal skills greatly evolved while working in a new culture.

Worked as part of a small team to raise awareness of the Teach First graduate scheme across campus.This involved networking with various societies and clubs, promoting the Teach First brand via pop-up stalls and media marking. Our efforts resulted in the largest ever recruitment presentation in Teach First history with over 160 attendees.

Spent 6 weeks living and working with a family and improving my spoken French. Responsibilities included teaching the children, ages 13, 11 and 5, English and caring for them while their parents were at work.
