With over 25 years of experience in industrial design, specializing in the luxury hospitality sector, my journey is dedicated to enriching the human experience by deepening our connection with the built environment.At 44LLC, the metadisciplinary design studio I co-founded with William Paley, I lead a diverse team of architects, interior designers, strategists, and graphic designers. Our collaborative efforts challenge and expand the boundaries of design within the hospitality and residential sectors.My work, including furniture and luminaire design, is featured in esteemed hotels like The Carlyle, Andaz Tokyo, and Rosewood Hong Kong, and has earned numerous awards and three patents.As a former educator at Parsons School of Design and Columbia Business School, I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of designers, instilling in them a deep respect for zero-waste practices, sustainable materials, and circular design principles.Through my initiative, Plia, I bring academic theory to life by demonstrating that beautiful products and planetary stewardship are not mutually exclusive but are, in fact, complementary forces in shaping our future.
