I acted as the Vice Chair of this board during 2016 and 2017.My work in this role included meeting with various internal (marketing, facilities management), and external (apparel suppliers) groups and individuals to make informed decisions that affected the 17,000 students at Manukau Institute of Technology. I participated in meetings and outreach, as well as chairing meetings and providing support to students.My notable achievements in this role include planning and implementing institute-wide apparel sales, and working with the New Zealand Union of Student Associations to have input in decisions that benefit students nationwide.
