Plan and develops community and recreation facility projects that enable access to suitable and sufficient sport, leisure, recreation, and public open space facilities for the community.

The primary responsibility of this position was to facilitate the development of vibrant, viable and well organised sporting and recreation clubs within the City of South Perth, to assist with the needs of members, encourage new participation and provide enjoyable opportunities for the whole community. The role of the Club Development Officer was to help clubs address organisational issues to ensure they manage risks appropriately, understand social responsibilities and become sustainable so that the clubs are in a position to increase membership and provide a high level of service provision. As part of my role I was also responsible for the implementation and management of the Kidsport program; which includes processing of applications, and answering any queries relating to the program. I also co-ordinated, managed and accepted bookings for the City's active sporting reserves

As the Programs & Facilities Officer I was responsible for the management and co-ordination of the George Burnett Leisure Centre. My role included managing the centre's pool of casual staff, conducting and evaluating the children's term and holiday programs as well as coordinating the Centre's sports court and room hire bookings.

My primary role as head trainer was the immediate injury management which included sports strapping, massages, looking after the general well-being of the players and player rehabilitation. As a head trainer I was responsible for coordinating taping and massage, staff recruitment, staff rosters for training and game day, ordering stock, stock security and use. I also recorded and maintained accurate and appropriate records of the athletes past and current medical history.

Works includes overseeing and administering SMA’s Safer Sports Program in WA. This includes the booking of training venues and facilities, recruitment and co-ordination of course presenters and examiners, processing and distribution of examination results and accreditation certificates and maintenance of course and candidate records, through the national database and training course filing systems.

Work included co-ordination of site visits to venues, the management and organisation of furniture, audio visual and floral requirements, assisting with the design and layout of rooms and other jobs as required by the Venues Manager.
