I’m Jess, an eccentric product designer and product manager with ten-plus years of experience in a SAAS start-up environment. I’m passionate about creating scalable human-centered experiences! I lead work and life with empathy, humility, and grace. I love using strategic problem-solving skills to define relationships between business objectives, user challenges, product management, and design. I’m a Product Manager, UX designer, UX researcher, UI designer, and product designer who wants to build alongside other passionate individuals and users to create inclusive product experiences that help people have a better quality of life. I am a strong advocate to build with and not for, and I’m humble enough to admit I’m not the user and we need their insights to create a quality product that helps solve both their needs and business needs. I’m scrappy because I understand in the real world of development you only have so many resources available and prioritization is a must. I've led and designed many internal and external features from start to finish, collaborated directly with business owners, CEOs, and cross-department leaders, identified and researched user pain points, and created different levels of fidelity wireframes/prototypes throughout my career. I've had the pleasure of facilitating discovery workshops, creating spaces where people are safe & encouraged to be bold ask questions and challenge the conversation to dive into the why. I delight in mentoring and seeing others grow. I also enjoy being mentored and coached to grow myself.I care about my craft, so I do my best to stay up to date on our evolving industry by constantly reading materials published by leading peers in our field, following those peers on social platforms, and attending conferences.I love what I do because I'm passionate about helping others. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to serve as a foster parent, respite provider, foster parent advocate, adoptive mother, and local community sports coach.
