Richard Brendon is a British product design studio that specialises in bringing together contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship to create unique and timeless collections. The role of Brand and Business Development Director is fundamental to the successful growth and brand development of Richard Brendon. I am responsible for developing and executing the PR and Marketing Strategy as well as lead on developing sales for a number of channels including retail, contract, and direct sales.- Create, manage and execute PR and marketing strategy and budget.- Design, produce and distribute all marketing material.- Manage all external communication and create digital content. - Produce monthly analytics reports, re-develop and maintain e-commerce website.- Develop new business with interior designers.- Manage all international agents & distributors.- Review product development strategy. Style and manage all new product photography.- Manage all press relations.- Plan, organise and run all events and international trade shows.- Produce return on investment reports.- Ensuring that all output is ‘on-brand’ and that all marketing communications delivered by those outside of the company are appropriate.- Monitor progress, review targets and analyse reports.

In the role of PR & Marketing manager, I was challenged to think creatively on all aspect of the business and offer solutions to such problems as customer engagement, differentiating Skandium’s own produced furniture, retaining customer loyalty and increasing footfall. I was responsible for all PR and marketing activity whether it be in store, at the head office or in collaboration with other brands.- Devise, implement and facilitate a marketing strategy and budget that supports all sales teams.- Attend operation meetings in order to review the business strategy and development. - Identify key marketing opportunities and generate creative concepts for all aspects of marketing including events, campaigns and branding.- Organise and manage multiple events across four London stores.- Develop partnerships and collaborations with third parties to meet strategic objectives. - Design and produce all marketing material including the Skandium annual magazine.- Devise a strategy for all digital marketing in order to increase the brand profile and following.- Manage all press relations.

In my role as wholesale assistant it was essential that I understood the scope of UK wholesale market. I built strong relationships with all accounts and provided an exceptional customer service. After leaving the wholesale team I continued to work closely with the brands that I represented and Artek appointed me their Press Officer in the UK.- Represent four leading Scandinavian homeware brands in the UK wholesale market.- Service all wholesale accounts by processing orders, invoicing etc.- Schedule, manage and attend sales meetings.- Attend trade shows in order to secure orders and build relationships with key wholesale accounts.- Attend annual agent meetings in order to discuss strategy and brand positioning in the UK market.

At T.N.A design studio I was involved in a broad spectrum of design projects. I enjoyed working closely with the team and engaged in all aspects of the design process.- Conduct research and develop initial concepts and designs through to manufacture.- Produce scale models and working prototypes in order to help fully visualise a product.- Create technical drawings and presentation boards for clients.- Initiate new project briefs for potential clients.
