I currently manage a staff team of 10 individuals who work together to meet the treatment needs of youth in state custody. I provide youth with individualized treatment plans to meet their educational, emotional, and physical needs. I maintain daily, weekly, and monthly assessments for the boys in the residential care programs that give insight into their progress while in the program. I also assist youth with their personal issues and refers issues to the group in accordance with the principles of the program. I coordinate with other staff members to stay informed of significant behavioral conditions or emotional changes known about an individual and/or the group. I also fill in multiple times a week in the classroom to ensure that youth stay on track in school. We work to recover missing credits and ensure they go back to school on track with their peers.

Under the supervision the Blue Springs Recreation Supervisor, as the Day Camp Manager I was responsible for every day operational tasks of the Blue Springs Summer Day Camp including maintaining academics, enrichment and recreation. I created weekly staff schedules for 12 staff members as well as helped with payroll. Weekly camper registration was roughly 50 children.

Working beside the Day Camp Manager I assisted with the creation of daily programs, and interacting daily with parents in regards to child’s progress at camp. I was solely responsible for creation of staff schedules and mid summer I stepped up to role of manager when manager fell short of responsibilities.
