I joined Microsoft in 1998 out of undergrad with passions for coding, music, and teaching. Those passions thrived on the job working as an SDET and a Lead on various multimedia SDK projects in Windows. I tested the first Windows Media Audio Codec. I tested the Thompson Lyra, the first digital music device to support Windows Media Audio. My passion for music took me to Zune where I tested all 3 Zune devices. I had my dream job as the Test Manager for the Zune HD; a product of which I'm extremely proud. After 5 years working on Zune and then Windows Phone, I moved to Windows Phone Services as a Quality Manager where I found a new passion: Testing In Production. Shipping often and testing with real users is how I strive to ship all of my services today!Now I manage a team of engineers with a span of control through design, code, test, deploy, flight, test in production, release to the world! I strongly believe in giving one team this span of control for its great efficiency.
