I began my professional journey in risk and compliance by chance, but it quickly became my passion. My initial ambition was to become a forensic psychologist for a large government organisation, a dream inspired by my BA in Psychological Science. However, during my honor’s year, I realised the scarcity of forensic psychology positions. This realisation sparked a shift in my career aspirations.My first role analysing data for the compliance department at the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (QLD) ignited a newfound enthusiasm. I discovered a passion for corporate governance, risk, and regulatory compliance, fields that blend stakeholder engagement with innovative problem-solving to enhance business sustainability and competitiveness.With extensive experience, my specialty lies in assessing and aligning strategic objectives with operational impacts to foster a positive risk and compliance culture. I excel at instilling risk-based decision-making and designing robust frameworks that support business longevity and resilience.As a risk professional, I thrive on navigating complex regulatory landscapes and driving organisational excellence through agile risk management and compliance strategies.
