Piloted and created school-wide plans for our advisory program that focuses on mental and social-emotional health and well-being, interview potential candidates for teaching and non-classroom positions, collaborate with our principal throughout the day, conduct monthly budget meetings, carry out all ordering for classroom supplies and events, assist deans in system creation and execution, oversee and fix technology, collaborate with the other two schools in our building to discuss school issues and shared spaces, lead our school's recruitment efforts for incoming 5th graders, manage our school's Administration Manager.

Founded a new elementary school in Harlem with a team of 18 people, inspired 27 incredible students in a way that allows them to enjoy just being a child while simultaneously engaging in rigorous work, cotaught with another fully certified teacher, collaborated with the other teachers in our grade level to come up with thematic units, piloted a Japanese math program where students were introduced to math concepts through inquiry and discussion, participated in weekly professional development sessions.

Coached 14 School Operations Managers (SOMs) to create summer school sites where logistics ran efficiently and corps members and school staff could focus 100% on student learning, visited all 14 schools twice a week to meet with SOMs and provide feedback on their logistics and contributions to their school, worked with their managers (School Directors) on how best to support their SOMs, presented exemplars of systems to be customized by each SOM, collaborated with the Institute Managing Team (IMT) to give weekly feedback on overall Institute culture, conducted interviews for the School Operations Manager (SOM) role, facilitated sessions for the Operations Team on the Teachers as Leadership (TAL) model of Teach For America.

Worked closely with a small group of 11 new teachers, observed their classrooms daily, conducted follow-up meetings to give feedback and listen to reflections, planned sessions to support new teachers on diversity, lesson planning, differentiation, effective teaching strategies, assisted the new teachers in their analysis on student data and progress, and coached new teachers to outcomes based on their actions as the leader in the classroom.

Taught fifth grade math (piloted Singapore math) and third grade general education at Browning Elementary School, led a team of four third grade teachers, experienced a pilot program where students were monetarily rewarded for mastering objectives, coached two basketball teams, organized spring break enrichment/tutoring camps and Saturday school.

Partnered and collaborated with a summer school site in HISD to ensure a productive summer or student learning, worked on creating a schedule where all corps members were able to teach one class each day, developed a signage system so that all parties could find their way throughout the school building, created a visitor system that allowed external and internal members observe corps member classrooms with minimal disruption to student learning, fostered a welcoming environment for over 75 corps members at the summer school site, and facilitated sessions on special education inclusion and diversity.
