About Jess Skylar

With over 20 years of experience across industries—nonprofits, education, cloud computing, financial services, and social impact—I’ve had the privilege of working at some incredible organizations. From helping launch HIP Investor (one of the first social impact investing firms) to expanding Guidewheel across Kenya, Mexico, and the U.S., and driving a 950% growth at Revolution Foods, I’ve loved working alongside teams to create real, sustainable change. Most recently, I helped grow Think of Us from $700K to $14M, and led our team through raising $47.5M to transform child welfare systems. Now, I’m thrilled to be launching Helia Collective, where I get to bring together brilliant people and innovative practices to support mission-driven organizations in turning big ideas into real, impactful change. When I’m not collaborating with amazing orgs, you’ll find me cheering on my kids at their games and performances, hunting down the perfect breakfast burrito, or curled up in my hammock with a good book—always cheering for the Dodgers, of course, from sunny Los Angeles.
