What I do: As a campus instructional coach and mentor, I manage 6 cross-functional teams of 6 from EC-4th grade, ranging from entry-level to master teachers. I push the boundaries of performance and continuously look for opportunities to help individuals develop and refine their instructional practices. Through my coaching, presentations, and professional development, I help build teacher capacity and expand their understanding of research-based effective instruction. My expertise: As a results-driven instructional coach, I organize and conduct data meetings quarterly with EC-4th grade teams to improve student achievement. I provide personalized support based on data-driven goals and identified needs of individual teachers to ensure high-quality instruction. Throughout the coaching process, I support teachers in reflecting on their teaching practice to determine the desired performance outcomes and existing performance gaps to remember what was successful and what they need to do to pivot to best support all students. Why I am different: I strive to build, sustain, navigate, and leverage effective working relationships with individuals and teams to support a culture of collaboration and data-driven instruction amongst grade-level teams. To create a space for collaborative thinking, I encourage teams to develop goals around data-driven instruction, personalized learning, or competency-based education. In addition, I do my best to keep up-to-date on professional development, the latest teaching practices, and technology trends through podcasts, literature, and seminars to demonstrate how to use these tools and methods effectively in classroom settings. This helps me ensure that the professional development I provide for teachers gives them the confidence to navigate the new instructional practices.
