About Jessica Bennett
Jessica Bennett is an award-winning journalist and author whose work explores the intersection of gender, culture and politics. She was the first-ever gender editor of The New York Times, a role she helped create, working to expand coverage of gender issues across platforms. Now an editor at large, Jessica has developed narrative storytelling projects across television, audio, photography and print, in addition to writing in-depth features and analysis.Jessica is the author of two books, the bestselling “Feminist Fight Club: A Survival Manual for a Sexist Workplace,” which has been published in 16 languages, and “This Is 18: Girls’ Lives Through Girls’ Eyes,” a photography book showcasing the lives of teen girls around the world. Jessica speaks on stages around the world about women’s leadership and digital media. She teaches journalism to graduate students at NYU and is co-host and executive producer of the podcast, “In Retrospect.”
