A large portion of this position deals with guest relations. I am the first person a visitor sees when they begin their museum experience. In order to answer their questions about Joliet, Route 66, and the museum I must be knowledgeable about the area, our collections, events, exhibits, and programs. I am also responsible for organizing, explaining, and scheduling all of our group tours and education programs for the museum. As the store manager, this position also includes a lot of retail experience, such as running the online store and cash register, managing assistants, and writing monthly reports for the board. Another key role is organizing the shop itself by keeping up to date with orders, inventory, and researching and trying out new items. As the Volunteer Coordinator, I am responsible for recruitment, training, scheduling, and general running of the volunteer program. Part of my tasks is helping the Curator as I am also part of the Collections and Exhibits Committee and work with the committee on designing and researching exhibits. I am also responsible for many of the social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Included with the proposal were the complete text panels (wording and images).The exhibition was on display during the beginning of May through June 2015.

As part of the Jacobs Players at the university, I directed and produced three student-run theater productions at Jacobs University while an undergraduate. Was responsible for proposing the project and insuring all tasks were completed correctly and on time. This included obtaining copyrights for scripts, finding a team to build the sets, casting the actors, finding and assigning costumes, directing an international cast and crew (from 6 to over 30 people), and keeping track of the budget. I also had to make sure the final project was understandable and enjoyed by people of different cultures as the typical audience was from over a 100 different countries.

Worked as an intern in the archives: setting up an exhibit; researching, identifying, and organizing old photographs; and transcribing interviews.My main project at this time was to research, identify, and organize a collection of Augustus Sherman photographs. The goal of this project was to discover who the subject was and what happened to them after the photo was taken. A detailed catalog was created in order to record information about both the images and the photographs themselves. As this research would last years after my internship had ended, I was charged with not only developing this database using Excel but also with writing clear and concise instructions for other researchers.
