Jess Cain first premiered, at the age of ten, with the New Haven Chorale, Heritage Chorale and along side with the New Haven Orchestra for their first annual Black History Program entitled, "The Black Chruch Sings" performed in the world renowned Woolsey Hall at Yale University in New Haven, CT.Since then, she has sung in various places including:Miami, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; Battle Creek, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Boston, Massachusetts; New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. ​​ In the Spring of 2006, she opened for critically acclaimed gospel singer, Tye Tribbet at the Jorgenson Performing Arts Center in Storrs, Connecticut. She has performed at several songfests that were held in 2006 and 2007 at the Benton Museum in Storrs, Connecticut. She also held a Charity recital at the Canterbury Congregation Church in the Spring of 2007 and in the fall of 2009.​In the fall of 2007, she performed again at Woolsey Hall in New Haven, CT where she opened a lecture for Dr. Ben Carson and the world's famous ​Altino Brothers. ​Miss Cain performed in her first opera as 'Dido' in Dido and Aeneas at the University of Connecticut in April of 2008. Jess was a winner of the Uconn vocal competition in the fall of 2008, where she performed with the University of Connecticut’s Orchestra. Jess performed 'Wolf' for Tom Caccippo at the Hartt School of Music in spring 2009 and participated in several opera scenes in programs produced by the University of Connecticut. One of her her most memorable performances was under the direction of Willie Waters for the fall of 2009 and in opera scenes in the fall of 2008 and spring of 2009 at the University of Connecticut. In August of 2011, she performed with the Connecticut Lyric Opera, as the lead performing role of the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro. This production was directed by Adrian Mackiewicz, accompanied by Nathaniel Baker and vocalist coaches were Jurate Svediate, Matthew Gamble.
