Club DJ, Music Producer and Professional Party ThrowerPlayPlay combines their penchant for percussion and bass with nostalgic samples & dreamy synths in both their DJ sets & music production. Their sound is inspired by years of clubbing, crate digging and the sounds they grew up dancing to - 90s club anthems, jungle, breakbeat hardcore, industrial, classic house, techno and old school hip-hop. With releases out on labels such as Sorry Records, Worst Behavior as well as a slew of self-releases and collaborations, PlayPlay has been slowly and steadily amassing a thumping discography over the years. Their most recent EP out on Brooklyn-based Sorry Records has been described as “euphoric and joyous” (Untitled 909) and as three “springing, two step-inspired club tracks” (DJ Mag).They have been organizing and throwing quarterly (and sometimes monthly) parties for over a decade at venues across Durham, NC and Brooklyn, NY.Wedding, Company Event and Private Party DJ-Past clients include Lululemon, Zuo Modern, Inc. and Hill, Chesson & Woody
