Creative Marketing AdvisorSignature Fragrances London™ Sep 2014 - Sep 2014Eastcote, MiddlesexI was approached by Yinka to provide marketing advice for the Signature Fragrance brand. The brief was to give direction on creating a monthly newsletter for the Signature Fragrance brand and to suggest some ideas on what sort of content they should be including in it. I produced a mini marketing report unique to the brand that included analysis of the industry and market, ways to push brand awareness and content ideas for the newsletter. I used Mintel for background research and analysed their consumers to gain an insight into the luxury market. The outcome included targeted marketing strategies and ways they could push their brand effectively. The report was in-depth and specific, created solely to benefit Signature Fragrances and to help in establishing a monthly newsletter. -
Official Vodafone London Fashion Weekend Blogger September 2014Sme London Ltd Sep 2014 - Sep 2014London, England, GbBeing asked to return to Vodafone London Fashion Weekend this September as their Official Blogger was a wonderful opportunity and one I was ecstatic to accept. Working alongside SME and the British Fashion Council, I supported their social media and helped push important content to the public, constantly informing them of what was going on both physically and online. I strategically worked out what people would want to read based on the previous season and set about gaining the relevant information needed to write such content, interviewing fashion presenter Angela Scanlon, Couturier Nicholas Oakwell and Shoe Designer Lucy Choi in the process. I had to be organised, able to think on my feet and gain specific and detailed information in short spaces of time. It was a fast paced four days and I enjoyed every second; I loved networking, meeting new people and learning about new up-and-coming exciting brands! Press Office InternNext Group Plc Mar 2014 - Apr 2014Leicester, Leicestershire, GbI was able to secure a two week placement in the Next press office in London to help gain a real insight into the PR industry. Assisting with the day-to-day running of a busy fashion press office meant I was able to gain knowledge of PR in a live environment. Duties included dealing with send outs and managing returns, pulling items for shoots and making sure the showroom was always tidy and presentable. I dealt directly with members of the press and worked as part of the press team for both lifestyle and fashion. Whilst working at Next I built upon key skills and knowledge of the fashion industry and learnt a great deal about PR. I also took part in a creative writing course with Next employee’s which was a great opportunity to push my writing skills further. It was a great experience and one that strengthened my interest in PR. -

I spent four days at the event working with the press team to support their social media through my Blog, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I was able to use my fashion writing skills and love for the industry to really understand and make the most of my experience, gaining invaluable skills in the process.I was proactive and took initiative in finding brands I thought were particularly unique and pushed important content through social media channels. I made contacts and built on my networking and communication skills aswell as learning behind the scenes and what it takes to run London Fashion Weekend. I also made sure I kept my readers engaged and informed on other aspects I thought were important, such as talks from experts in the Live and Luxe Lounge, reporting on the Trend and Catwalk shows and finding street style images to visualise London Fashion Weekend online.I gave an informative, professional and knowledgable outline of each day to my followers and people who wanted to keep up to date with what was going on. It was an amazing experience and one that has opened my eyes to the world of PR and event planning. I really enjoyed getting involved with every aspect of my role and I was able to work as part of the press team and individually to successfully complete my experience.
