Kantu studied and graduated from the University of Houston with a BFA in Sculpture with a Minor in Art History in 2006. His work deals with common denominators and the brokenness of Man’s plight found in all cultures. A local artist and supporter of the Houston Arts Scene, he has exhibited at Lawndale’s Art Center Big Show in 2010 and 2011 as well as being a finalist in the Hunting Art Prize Exhibition in 2008. In 2011 he started Pyramid Art Services as a social arts hub to help others find their artistic voice. In May of 2015 he graduated with his MFA in Painting from Houston Baptist University. He has consistently exhibited his work and in 2016 he showed at the Blue Orange Contemporary Art Gallery and in 2017 and 2019 he was part of the Assistance League of Houston -Celebrates Texas Art Exhibitions. In 2020, the artist released his first literary publication, EMERGING-New Contemporary Narratives in the 21st Century. The artist lives and works in Houston, TX
