Hello! I am an Assistant Professor at Texas State University. Prior to my current appointment, I completed my PhD in 2019 at Texas A&M University, where I developed a wide range of research interests in the fields of energy, environmental, and resource economics, and a passion for studying the unconventional oil and gas industry. Fisheries Management InternMinnesota Dnr Jun 2012 - Aug 2012I assisted three fisheries professionals with the management techniques and practices on lakes in Southern Minnesota. We conducted lake surveys where the data collected was then published on the Minnesota LakeFinder website. This experience also helped me to form a strong collaborative work ethic as I was consistently paired with one of the specialists to complete the surveys by boat. Doing so also forced me to improve my decision-making skills and allowed me to exploit and overcome some of the apprehension I had in this area before.

InternMankato Water Resources Center May 2011 - Aug 2011I assisted three graduate students with water quality monitoring and assessment of lakes, rivers and streams in Southern Minnesota for their thesis research. The experience allowed me to apply several of the techniques I had learned in my undergraduate coursework to conduct field research. I also learned how to effectively plan a day of research and coordinate a progressive timeline for completion of a research project.
