An enthusiastic educator with 9 years of experience working with children aged from 2-19 with special educational needs. Skilled in delivering effective educational interventions for individuals with autism and students with severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Proficient in focusing on a child-centred approach, concentrating the diverse learning styles, interests, imagination and abilities of each individual student. Effective and confident in using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours and promote positive behaviour examples. Focused on ensuring all learning is inclusive and seen as a positive enjoyable experience. I have a passion to learn new ideas and skills. Starting in an educator role as a volunteer when I was 17 and putting myself through university to obtain a bachelors degree whilst working full-time. I have a range of transferable skills that I have picked up from working as a teaching assistant, specialist practitioner, youth sports and activities coach and teacher. As well as skills I have learnt from working holistically with other external professionals from the health, social care and education sectors.
