• Assisted in the design of a $2.23 billion highway project in Tacoma-Seattle area• Helped compile information for third party estimate for project bidding• CADD modeling experience creating details, cross sections, and quantity/cost estimates• Field inspection of existing bridges and structures• Experience reading plans and drawings• Design of smaller highway elements (Length of Need, etc.)

• Assisted in Structural Surveying for bridge foundations for 22-million-dollar bridge replacement• Field inspected items such as structural earthwork, concrete footings and retaining walls, prestressed concrete girders, aggregate for erosion and environmental protection• Ensured proper site conditions were maintained such as water quality and other environmental safety measures• Tested grout and mortar and formed sample cubes in accordance with ASTM standards, tested concrete in field for compliance to mix design

In this role I helped transition an in-person orientation program to a fully online orientation program. I had the chance to reinforce my skills in problem solving, public speaking, teamwork, accountability, leadership, and an ability to connect with students from a vast background experience and identity. I led orientation programs for over 1,200+ incoming students, collaborated with university staff and campus connectors to plan educational presentations and group activities throughout all orientation sessions in a team of 40+ people. I also provided resources for all students throughout the program, building lasting relationships between students and maintained contact with student’s throughout the academic year.

In this job I learned basic skills concerning data acquisition. I assessed the quality of asphalt throughout many different areas of the City of Spokane. I also learned some basic skills concerning technical drawings and was tasked with creating and updating maps used by the city for things such as utility access or updating signage.
