Food is an integral part of life, both in and outside of work. From a young age I was taught to be comfortable and adventurous in the kitchen, whether that was cooking with my Greek grandparents, or butchering wild game during hunting season. Community is built in and around the kitchen, and food culture is such an integral part of the human experience.I’ve been honored to be a part of the staff here at Carlisle/Five Point for the past three years. My journey to the food industry has been unorthodox, but I wouldn’t trade my engineering background. I’m a big proponent of continuous improvement, and I’m a firm believer in unleashing both the power of systems AND the creative process. What is something interesting about me that relates to food? I’m a huge cheese fan, and make cheese at home. It started as a harmless ask to make some mozzarella, and ended up at the University of Wisconsin working with master cheesemakers. If I had to make a recommendation of a good cheese: try - Uplands Cheese Pleasant Ridge Reserve. It’s a real treat.
