I am currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at CQUniversity. I have completed my Professional Practice Placements with the Wide Bay Hospital Health Service and Coral Coast Physiotherapy and Allied Health, and am currently undertaking my final research paper development, and project plan implementation. I am a group member of the Community Lifestyle Support Sensory-Motor Garden community development project due to be presented on October 9th.I am a new graduate occupational therapist (as of December 2024) with clinical experience delivering occupational therapy interventions in paediatric practice, particularly with neurodiverse populations diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, global developmental delay, and autism spectrum disorder. In my current position as an allied health assistant occupational therapist with AEIOU foundation for children with autism, I deliver intensive intervention programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder alongside a multidisciplinary team of behaviour therapists, and speech and language pathologists. My personal worldview, values and beliefs lend themselves to the profession as I aim to enhance the lives of individuals and communities through my ongoing practice and engagement with research. I am a certified mental health first aid practitioner and strive to uphold the rights of individuals in all settings. My compassion and altruistic nature allows me to commit to advocating on behalf of my clients and their support networks. My skill set as a life-long learner is constantly expanding due to my ongoing engagement in CPD across various occupational domains.
